Omnicom Brand Consultancy Interbrand has released its list of top brands this year. Facebook is not in the top ten in the list as the world’s largest social media facebook. Facebook ranks 14th in the list.
On the other hand, the US tech giant Apple occupied the best brand position. Third place is Amazon. Microsoft was fourth, Coca-Cola fifth and Samsung sixth on the list. In seventh place is Toyota and eighth place is Mercedes, ninth McDonald’s and Disney are in tenth place.
Facebook’s brand value dropped 11.08 percent to $ 39,857 million this year. A 2018 survey by the Ponemon Institute of Independent Research firm found that users’ trust in Facebook has dropped 66 percent after the Cambridge Analytica data scandal involved 87 million users.
